Sexual Addiction Support Groups
(It is strongly encourage an individual seeking to break free of a pornography or sexual addiction attend a weekly support group meetings. This is not an addiction you can defeat on your own.)
A typical Walking Free meeting begins in a large group setting with a time of worship, testimony and teaching. Men then divide up into safe and structured small groups of six to eight for sharing and accountability. Small group time closes with prayer for each man. When you come to Walking Free, expect an environment of acceptance and grace in which men can be honest and real with one another. You can also expect to be understood and encouraged, as well as challenged and held accountable.
Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA)
“We found in each other what we could find nowhere else: people who knew the depth of our pain. Together we found hope and the care of a loving Higher Power. Our commitment is to help others recover from sexual addiction, just as we have been helped.” The basic principles of recovery practiced by SAA are found in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Sexaholics Anonymous (SA)
"Sexual sobriety means having no form of sex with self or with persons other than the spouse. In SA’s sobriety definition, the term “spouse” refers to one’s partner in a marriage between a man and a woman. For the unmarried sexaholic, sexual sobriety means freedom from sex of any kind. And for all of us, single and married alike, sexual sobriety also includes progressive victory over lust."
Journey is a community of women who have experienced betrayal and loss as a result of their spouses’ struggle with pornography addiction or other life-dominating sexual sin. Journey groups give women a safe place to: Grieve with others who can identify with their pain. Grow in identifying and expressing emotions. Learn to set healthy boundaries with themselves and others.
Accountability Software Programs
(Be advised that accountability software programs are not a cure for a pornography or sexual addiction. They are a temporary resource that can serve to keep someone from engaging from acting out while they do the work necessary to manage their addiction.)
Software monitors the websites visited, the search terms used, and the YouTube videos watched, and lists them in an easy-to-read Report that is designed to start a conversation about healthy online habits. Each account allows installation of software on up to five electronic devices.
K-9 Website Protection
K9 features: website blocking by category, including pornography and gambling; SafeSearch enabled on all search engines to show cleaner search results; time restrictions, including NightGuard(tm), to disallow internet access during designated times; time out option to temporarily disable internet access if hitting many blocked sites.
